Today I am speaking with Dorothée Schiesser, Social Entrepreneur, Founder and President of SapoCycle, Europe’s first non-profit organisation that collects discarded soaps in hotels and turns them into life-saving products. SapoCycle’s impact in the local community creates jobs, ensures good hygiene and sanitation, and is carbon negative - great inspiration as we bring in this new year.
In our interview we explore Dorothée’s career journey from journalist to SapoCycle, including how she prototyped various models before perfecting the process and a ‘social franchise’ model that can be replicated in other locations.
