Eliminating single use items by creating reusable, sustainable alternatives - Isabel Aagaard, Founder, LastObject
How many companies can celebrate eliminating over 3 billion single-use items (and still counting!)? Me thinks not many, but LastObject can and boy, am I a big fan!
Today I am thrilled to share my conversation with Isabel Aagaard, Founder of LastObject, whose mission is to eliminate single use items by creating reusable sustainable alternatives.
Armed with a degree from IT University in Copenhagen and MA in co-design from the Royal Academy of Design, Isabel is a designer by trade and eco-conscious by nature.
Our conversation explores the process of her first co-design project, “Chemo To Go, Please!”, conducted in partnership with a Danish hospital, and takes us through to LastObject and how she and her colleagues came up with the idea and prototyped to develop a reusable cotton swab - the LastSwab - which replaces 1,000 single-use cotton swabs. Hats also off to Kickstarter for supporting LastObject.
Come listen and be inspired by Isabel’s journey and all that LastObject is doing to eliminate single-use items. I am sure you will be an instant convert, just like me! :-)
