Sarika Saluja - General Manager- World Toilet Organization

Hi listeners and thank you for joining us today. The SDGs we are focusing on today are SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals with Sarika Saluja, General Manager, of the World Toilet Organization (WTO) headquartered in Singapore.

Sarika has over 15 years of experience in the development sector. She has curated and led multi-sector collaborations with corporates, international development agencies, NGOs, government funded organisations, foundations, and those sponsored by INGOs such as UNDP and ILO.

Through her current work at the World Toilet Organization, she passionately advocates for improved and safely managed sanitation facilities across the globe and is aiming to achieve sustainable sanitation through policy advocacy, community development, skilling for sustainable job creation, and enterprise development.

Sarika has co-created and led World Toilet Summit events in India, Brazil, Melbourne, and virtually in Singapore. She has also established two World Toilet colleges in India, conducted training in Singapore, and is a strong advocate for system-led social and economic empowerment.

There are three ways our listeners can support WTO: volunteer, join as an individual or corporate member, or donate. Please go to their website to learn more.

Please take a look at the trailer for Mr Toilet that features the WTO’s founder Jack Sim.
